Chapter House

Directly adjacent to the Bamberg Cathedral is the so-called Kapitelhaus (chapter house). The 34 Bamberg canons originally lived here. Already in the 12th century, this monastic community dissolved and the canons began to use the chapter house primarily for representative purposes.
