Maxplatz

Sooner or later you will come across the traces of baroque architecture on Maximiliansplatz (Maximilian Square), which the Bambergers exclusively called Maxplatz. It is the largest and most important square in the entire city centre, with several magnificent baroque buildings lined up along its sides.
