St. Otto

The Church was built between 1912 and 1914 and it is one of the most magnificent modern churches of Bamberg. In that period, the architect Otto Orlando Kurz was able to mix elements from different stylistic epochs into a coherent overall composition. The basic structure is in the design of Romanesque. Windows and ceiling, in contrast, were designed in Gothic style. The church is thus reminiscent in its appearance to the historic churches of Bamberg. Weiterlesen »
